…opens new branch in Sagamu
Adeyinka Afonja, the chairman and CEO of Ace Mall, has reiterated his company’s strong belief in generating employment opportunities and contributing meaningfully to Nigeria’s economic development.
Speaking at the official opening of the 13th branch of the Ace Mall chain in Sagamu, Ogun State, Afonja said, “Each new outlet is not just a commercial expansion—it is a deliberate step toward empowering communities, creating jobs, and strengthening local economies,” Afonja said.
The launch of the Sagamu outlet, he pointed out, is expected to provide direct and indirect employment to hundreds of youths while also supporting local vendors, artisans, and service providers.
While reaffirming the company’s dedication to service excellence, youth empowerment, and job creation, he urged the staff of the Sagamu branch to see themselves as brand ambassadors, working with diligence, passion, and loyalty.
“I want to implore you to recharge your services with utmost commitment,” Afonja said. “Ace Mall is not just a workplace; it is a springboard for your dreams and aspirations.”
The retail mogul also extended appreciation to the Ogun State Government, particularly Governor Dapo Abiodun, for creating a conducive environment for businesses to thrive.
Richard Ige, a bishop who officiated the ribbon-cutting, hailed Afonja’s leadership and praised the company’s community-oriented approach. He described the Sagamu outlet as “a symbol of purpose-driven entrepreneurship.”
“This brand is not just about profit-making,” Bishop Ige stated. “It’s about building communities, empowering people, and leaving a legacy of excellence.”
He urged residents of Sagamu to patronise the facility, noting that their support would foster local development and job creation.
The grand opening, which took place at the new facility along Oba Erinwole Road, drew an impressive crowd of dignitaries, business leaders, and excited residents, all eager to welcome the latest addition to the town’s commercial and lifestyle landscape.
Equipped with a supermarket, cinema, arcade, and a range of eateries, the Sagamu branch is designed to serve as a one-stop destination for shopping, entertainment, and relaxation for residents of Sagamu and its environs.
Ace Mall’s expansion into Sagamu is part of its broader strategy to strengthen its footprint across the South West region. The new branch joins a network of outlets in major cities, including Oluyole-Ibadan, Akobo-Ibadan, Bodija-Ibadan, Oyo, Ile-Ife, Osogbo, Saki, Iseyin, Abeokuta, Ilorin, Ogbomosho, and Ijebu-Ode.
