gamp, a device lifecycle platform built for Africa’s modern businesses, has raised a strategic debt round in naira from FSDH, Meristem, BAS Capital, and a group of its existing angel investors.
The funding will enable the company to scale its device-as-a-service (DaaS) offering by powering smarter acquisition, management, and retirement of devices for mid-to-large enterprises.
With a redesigned gamp for business platform, the company aims to become the default alternative to clunky procurement methods and fragmented tooling used by HR and operations teams.
“While global tools like Rippling and Deel are building strong payroll and EOR infrastructure, they still fall short when it comes to solving hardware access and lifecycle management for African teams,” said Boluwatife Omotayo, CEO of gamp. “gamp is building for that local context where employees work across cities, countries, and currencies, and where affordability and post-purchase support can’t be an afterthought.”
gamp’s recent integration with JumpCloud makes remote onboarding radically simpler with no IT bottlenecks, no back-and-forth with colleagues, just one click to deliver a world-class onboarding experience.
“The future of work in Africa depends on how easily companies can equip and protect their people, wherever they are,” Omotayo added. “Our model turns capex into opex — and gives finance and HR teams one less thing to worry about.”
With this partnership, the entire device onboarding process from provisioning new and used devices to delivery and setup is now seamless and near-instant.
The platform already supports 150+ businesses, including Quidax, Chowdeck, FMDQ, PaidHR, Miden, and Cleva, a YC-backed fintech company helping African talents earn globally.
“Our team operates across continents. We tried to do it ourselves, but it didn’t make sense, so we now rely on gamp to ship, track, and recover work devices no matter where our people are,” said Tolu Alabi, CEO of Cleva. “From onboarding to offboarding, it saves us weeks of operational overhead.”
