The President had last week announced that he would summon the meeting to confirm Olatunji Disu as the new Inspector General of the Police.
Disu was appointed as acting IGP last week following the exit of Kayode Egbetokun. The meeting was expected to announce the confirmation of Disu as the IGP, among others
Onanuga revealed that decision followed Disu’s confirmation. He also revealed that there would be no need to forward Disu’s name to the Senate for confirmation
He stated that Disu would be sworn in by the President just before the meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) on Wednesday.
