Ahmed Usman Ododo , Kogi State Governor, on Monday, flagged off the distribution of security vehicles donated by the State Security Trust Fund, marking another major step in strengthening the State’s security architecture.
Governor Ododo, emphasised the importance of collective responsibility in ensuring quality security, saying, “Your sacrifices and contributions reflect a deep understanding that security is a shared responsibility.
“The distribution of the vehicles is a result of the state government’s deliberate investment in strengthening and modernising the security framework.
“We are beginning to see the result of our deliberate investment in training and modernising the security framework of our State.

He expressed gratitude to citizens who had donated vehicles and other resources to support security efforts, saying, “It is heartwarming to see more citizens rise to this occasion”.
Governor Ododo equally appreciated the efforts of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying, “I also want to appreciate Mr President for being very wonderful to us in Kogi State. We in Kogi State appreciate him and continue to show gratitude.
“The security agencies, led by the Commissioner of Police, have been working together in synergy
“I appreciate all the security agencies; they are working together in synergy, that is why you can see us moving well”.
Ododo urged the security agencies to use the vehicles for the purpose they were intended, saying, “Let it be used for the purpose it was created for”.
Omeiza Umar, the Executive Chairman of the Kogi State Security Trust Fund, commended Ododo’s visionary leadership and proactive approach to security management, saying it had led to improved coordination and enhanced public confidence in the safety of lives and property.
He said, “This is a practical demonstration of the governor’s unwavering commitment to ensuring that every corner of Kogi State remains secure”.
Umar equally assured that the Trust Fund remains committed to mobilising resources and providing sustainable support for the operational needs of security agencies, adding that the newly established logistics hub will serve as a nerve centre for the Trust Fund’s operations , as he appealed to government, corporate bodies, and individuals to contribute generously toward the progress of the State Security Trust Fund.
He said “Together, we can build a stronger foundation for the safety and security of our state”.
He also commended the security agencies for their dedication and sacrifices, saying, “It is our collective duty to continue to support and motivate them”.

Jerry Omodara , Kogi State Security Adviser, commended the Trust Fund for its continued support, describing the new vehicles as another step in staying ahead of bandits and kidnappers as he
announced that the State is now better positioned to reach out to companies operating within Kogi for further partnerships in strengthening security.
He said “Kogi is ready for state policing, and we are prepared to work towards it whenever the federal government gives the directive,” he stated.
Nasiru Bello Kankarofi, Commissioner of Police, who spoke on behalf of the beneficiaries, expressed gratitude to the state government and the Trust Fund for the support extended to security agencies.
Kankarofi assured the governor that the vehicles would be used strictly for the purpose for which they were provided and pledged the commitment of all beneficiaries to enhancing security across the state.
