Obaseki plans economic summit to drive administration
As part of strategies to kick-start his administration, Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki has planned a three-day workshop for the people of the state.\
BusinessDay reports that the workshop tagged, ‘’Setting Agenda for the New Administration in Edo State: The Road to Prosperity” was geared towards building consensus, taking ownership of governance framework as well as setting agenda for the new government.
A statement by John Mayaki, Chief Press Secretary to the State Governor, said the workshop also aimed at discussing implementation strategies across six thematic issues such as economic revolution, institutional reforms, environmental sustainability, social welfare enhancement, infrastructural development, culture, entertainment and tourism.
He said about 150 participants are expected at the workshop which will have politicians, members of civil society, religious and traditional leaders, academicians, technocrats and permanent secretaries in attendance.
