…as $505.7m injected into priority sectors
In a significant boost to its economic profile, Nasarawa State recorded a total investmemt – domestic and foreign direct investments – worth $1,008,529,220 between January and December 2025.
According to the Nasarawa Investment and Development Agency’s 2025 Investment Portfolio Report, the total comprises $505.7 million in actualised investments – 50.14% and $502.8 million in announced investments – 49.86%.This total amount is also distinct from additional investments attracted during the same period by other Ministries, Departments, and Agencies of the State Government.
“Announced investments refer to public declarations or formal commitments such as Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and Letters of Intent made by investors, companies, or institutions indicating their intention to invest in the state. Actualised investments represent projects that have moved beyond commitments to the implementation stage,” the report showed.
The $502.8 million in announced investments cut across strategic sectors including mining, agriculture, energy, manufacturing, among others.
And on a sectoral distribution, the breakdown of the announced investments showed that Mining sector attracted $300 million; Agriculture – $800,000; Energy – $70 million; Manufacturing – $130 million; and Others – $2 million.
For actualised investments, eight companies collectively injected $505.7 million into priority sectors of the State’s economy.
The breakdown of actualised investments shows: Mining – $400 million; Agriculture – $48.8 million; Manufacturing – $46 million; Technology – $16.6 million; and Education – $10.9 million.These investments are spread across six Local Government Areas of the state: Kokona, Nasarawa, Akwanga, Keffi, Lafia, and Toto.
Kokona recorded $45.5 million in investments, followed by Nasarawa with $400 million; Akwanga with $31 million; Keffi with $25.9 million;Lafia with $16.6 million and Toto with $3.3 million.
Among the investing firms is Euphoria Press Limited, operating in agriculture and manufacturing across Kokona, Akwanga, and Keffi Local Government Areas.
Other companies include Diamond New Energy Company LTD; Advent Integrated Service Limited; Saro Africa Agric Value Chain; Sequoia Cassava Farms; and China Witent Technology Co Ltd.
The report showed that companies that had announced investment plans and are currently progressing towards resource deployment include Nichi Mine Limited; Nok Motors Limited Electric; Caspian Pacific Africa Green Energy Limited; CMIG Drawin Nig. Ltd; EGTA Environmental Limited; and Maiyamco Investment Nig. Limited.
The report further projects the creation of 22,645 jobs across multiple sectors.
