The Jigawa government on Wednesday said it had awarded contract worth N212 million for the construction of hostels and drains at the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Birnin-Kudu.
The commissioner for information, Ibrahim Babandi, said this while briefing newsmen at the end of the State Executive Council meeting in Dutse on Wednesday.
He said that the contract was awarded to Datum Nigeria Limited, and that the project included the construction of two additional hostels, drains and embankments.
The commissioner explained that the project was designed to deal with accommodation problem as well as control flooding and erosion in the school.
Babandi said that the council had postponed the official inauguration of the state’s high court complex which was earlier billed for May 29.
