John Tsoho, Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, has expressed his willingness to appear before the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) over allegations relating to omissions in his asset declaration.
In a statement issued Monday by Catherine Christopher, Court’s Director of Information, the Chief Judge affirmed that he would respond to the Bureau’s invitation upon concluding ongoing medical treatment abroad.
The statement emphasised his commitment to cooperating fully with the inquiry, noting that his legal counsel, Kanu Godwin Agabi, SAN, has indicated readiness to accompany him to the Bureau once he returns to the country.
According to the court, the CCB has been formally informed of his intention to honour the invitation, with proposed dates in the week beginning March 16, 2026, considered suitable for his appearance.
The Chief Judge reiterated his commitment to due process and adherence to constitutional safeguards, stressing respect for transparency and the rule of law.
The Bureau’s invitation reportedly followed a publication by Premium Times alleging that the Chief Judge failed to disclose certain bank accounts in his asset declaration, contrary to provisions of the Code of Conduct law.
