The Federal Government on Thursday said it would maintain the current phase of the national response to COVID-19 for another four weeks.
This implies that the 10 pm to 4 am curfew will remain in place, as well as virtual meetings in government offices and restrictions in school resumption and the market sector. Free movement of people and goods would also continue outside the curfew hours, especially for interstate travels.
The Federal Government also retained the earlier directives for banks to limit customers by 50 percent capacity inside the banking halls.
Boss Mustapha, chairman of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, announced this at the briefing on Thursday in Abuja.
He said the new guidelines were approved by President Muhammadu Buhari sequel to the report submitted to him on Wednesday by the PTF in Abuja.
Mustapha also announced that the government has directed the National Youths Service Corps to start preparations for reopening of its camps after the current protocols lapse in the next four weeks.
The government also said it has lowered the grade level of workers to resume work to those on grade level 12 and above as against the current grade level 14 and above.
