Matheus Cunha scored a stunning late winner as Manchester United produced a dramatic 3–2 comeback victory at the Emirates Stadium, dealing a significant blow to Arsenal’s Premier League title hopes.
Arsenal, who had seen title rivals Manchester City and Aston Villa win earlier to cut their lead, started brightly and deservedly went ahead in the 29th minute when United defender Lisandro Martínez turned the ball into his own net.

However, the hosts gifted United a route back into the contest when Martin Zubimendi’s loose backpass sent Bryan Mbeumo clean through on goal. The forward calmly rounded David Raya and slotted into an empty net to level the score.
United stunned the home crowd five minutes after the restart as Patrick Dorgu unleashed a superb strike, hammering his effort off the underside of the crossbar to put the visitors ahead.
With Arsenal facing their first home defeat of the league season, Mikel Arteta responded with a quadruple substitution, introducing Viktor Gyökeres, Eberechi Eze, Mikel Merino and Ben White in search of a turnaround. The changes appeared to pay off when Merino bundled home from a corner in the 84th minute to restore parity.
But United had the final say. Just three minutes later, substitute Cunha collected a pass from Kobbie Mainoo and curled a magnificent 25-yard effort into the bottom corner to seal a memorable win.
The result lifts Manchester United into fourth place, while Arsenal’s advantage at the top has now been reduced to four points.
