The Canadian Government has concluded arrangements to disburse 15 million Canadian dollars to three Nigerian States of Bauchi, Kaduna and Kebbi as part of efforts to fight malnutrition, improve on health and nutrition status of women, adolescents and children in the three Northern States.
Fatima Cheshi, UNICEF Specialist on Health, stated this during an engagement with the Global Affairs Canada Initiative held in Bauchi, Bauchi State.

According to Cheshi, the programme of the Canadian Government will last in the the three affected Nigerian States for five years.
Rilwanu Mohammed, Executive director Bauchi State Primary Health Care Development Agency, thanked the Canadian Government for providing the three Northern States with 15 million Canadian dollars.

He promised on behalf of the Bauchi State Government that the fund would be judiciously used, saying the contribution of the Canadian Government to the three Nigerian States would definitely be used to improve on health, nutrition status and general well being of women, adolescents and children.
