Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir, has assured newly deployed members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) of their welfare and safety throughout their one-year compulsory assignment in the State.
Governor Bala said this during the swearing-in ceremony of the 2026 Batch ‘A’ orientation course at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Wailo, Ganjuwa Local Government Area of the State.
The Governor, who was represented by the state commissioner of information and Communication, Usman Shehu Usman. Bala said that he is committed to providing a secure, peaceful, and conducive environment for all corps members serving in the state.
He urged corps members to uphold the core values of unity, discipline, patriotism, and hard work throughout their service year.
He further encouraged corps members to integrate peacefully with host communities, respect local customs and traditions, and contribute meaningfully to the social and economic development of Bauchi State.
Also speaking during the ceremony, Kufre Umoren, who is the Camp Coordinator, expressed gratitude to the Bauchi State Government for its continuous support to the NYSC scheme.
Umoren commended the good efforts of the state government and praised the newly deployed corps members for their patriotism, loyalty, and readiness to serve the nation.
He highlighted the critical role of youths in national development, noting that corps members posted to Bauchi State have demonstrated high levels of commitment and have adapted well to the orientation camp environment and local culture.
He described Governor Bala Mohammed as a pillar of support for corps members, commending his consistent goodwill and fatherly guidance.
