In a resounding acknowledgment of innovation, leadership, and impact, Adeniyi Olowoporoku, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Ezyswap Solutions Limited, has been conferred with the YALI Blockchain Leadership Excellence Award 2024.
The prestigious award, presented by the U.S. Mission in Nigeria in collaboration with the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) Regional Leadership Centre, recognises Olowoporoku’s pioneering contributions to advancing blockchain education and financial inclusion across the African continent. The honour was bestowed during the YALI National Digital Leadership Forum, held at the National Summit in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, from November 24–25, 2024.
The YALI Blockchain Leadership Excellence Award celebrates individuals who exemplify visionary leadership in using technology to promote sustainable development and empower communities. Olowoporoku’s recognition underscores his influence in harnessing blockchain and artificial intelligence to transform access to digital finance and promote inclusive growth across emerging economies.
As the driving force behind Ezyswap Solutions Limited, Olowoporoku led the creation of Africa’s first AI-driven blockchain platform, purpose-built to make decentralised finance (DeFi) accessible to everyday users. Since its launch, Ezyswap has empowered over 15,000 Africans with tools for low-cost remittance, blockchain literacy, trading education, and decentralised savings, offering secure and affordable digital alternatives to traditional banking systems.
Ezyswap’s innovation bridges the gap between traditional finance and blockchain adoption, enabling small businesses and individuals to transact securely and participate fully in the digital economy. This accomplishment has positioned Olowoporoku as one of Africa’s foremost advocates for financial inclusion through ethical technology.
Beyond building transformative technology, Olowoporoku has been a consistent champion of blockchain literacy and responsible innovation. Through the YALI Network, he has organised and facilitated digital finance and blockchain training programs for over 3,000 young entrepreneurs and students across West Africa.
These sessions have equipped participants with practical knowledge on business transparency, digital payments, and inclusive growth, helping them leverage blockchain as a tool for social and economic empowerment.

Under his leadership, Ezyswap has evolved from a fintech start-up to a pan-African innovation hub, influencing conversations around policy, regulation, and ethical blockchain adoption. Olowoporoku has also played a mentorship role in the wider YALI ecosystem, guiding young African innovators on scalable solution design and responsible leadership in emerging technologies.
