As the world gathered at the prestigious Carrousel du Louvre for the 15th anniversary edition of MakeUp in Paris, one name stood tall in the celebration of African creativity, entrepreneurship and cultural richness: Omolola Faleye, the visionary founder of The Makeup Fair Series (TMUFS).
TMUFS, West Africa’s premier beauty tradeshow platform, made history as it partnered with MakeUp in Paris to spotlight African beauty in a landmark feature titled “African Beauty: Heritage, Innovation & Power.” Through this unprecedented collaboration, Faleye not only brought global attention to African beauty brands but also positioned TMUFS as a catalyst for visibility, empowerment and growth in the international beauty arena.
“This was more than just participation,” Faleye shared. “It was about redefining the African narrative, giving our founders a global platform and shifting perceptions. We showed the world the richness, brilliance and innovation that lives in African beauty.”
Faleye moderated two high-impact sessions during the Paris event:
- Day 1: Beauty Agora Workshop on “Building an African Beauty Brand,” featuring six brilliant founders sharing real-world insights and growth journeys.
- Day 2: Conference Panel titled “The Rise of African Beauty Brands: Trends, Challenges & Global Influence,” highlighting key voices shaping Africa’s beauty ecosystem, featuring four phenomenal founders sharing insights.
From immersive brand showcases to product demos and powerful storytelling, TMUFS exhibitors wowed the international audience. For many attendees, it was their first time experiencing the depth and diversity of African beauty up close, and the reception was overwhelmingly positive.
Now back from Paris, Faleye is more committed than ever.
“This is just the beginning. We must sustain this momentum. African beauty brands must continue to build with intention on global platforms through storytelling and strategic partnerships. TMUFS will keep showing up to support that journey.”
Faleye’s long-term vision includes scaling TMUFS into a pan-African hub for brand elevation, global exhibition readiness and ecosystem development, ensuring that African beauty continues to shine far beyond borders.
The movement has started. And TMUFS, under the bold leadership of Omolola Faleye, is lighting the path forward.
