IfeanHealth, a company focused on advancing healthcare through innovative solutions, has expanded its footprint in Nigeria with the official launch of two state-of-the-art centres in Kano and Ughelli, Delta State.
According to the organisation, these new facilities mark a significant milestone in the company’s mission to provide accessible, affordable, and innovative rehabilitative care across the country.
Speaking at the launch of the centre in Kano, Ejike Anih, founder and chief executive officer of IfeanHealth, said the goal of the company is to eliminate geographic and economic barriers to mobility.
Anih said that through the launch of the centres, obtaining a prosthetic device should no longer be a luxury in any part of Nigeria, as the location we help bring world-class care closer to those who need it most, whether in Kano, Delta, or beyond.
He said the Innovation Centre in Kano is a dedicated hub for advanced mobility solutions in Northern Nigeria.
Maryam Abdulhadi, deputy director of Physiotherapy at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, said the launch of the centre offers a new lifeline and addresses a critical need for patients who face significant challenges without access to proper devices or support.
The centre provides expert consultations, globally recognised Ottobock prostheses, custom orthotic solutions, and patient-centred after-care, all within a community-based environment.
The launch event drew healthcare professionals, community leaders, and mobility advocates who hailed the centre as a game-changer for the region.
The Delta centre offers a wide range of prosthetic and orthotic services, including customised prosthetics, orthotics, and stroke rehabilitation solutions. These services are designed to cater to the needs of individuals with limb loss or stroke, providing them with affordable and accessible solutions to improve their quality of life.
Meanwhile, in Ughelli, Delta State, IfeanHealth launched another cutting-edge centre through a public-private partnership with Marierie Memorial Central Hospital, under the Delta State Hospital Management Board. The Delta centre is designed to serve the South-South region, offering prosthetic fittings, orthotic devices, and stroke rehabilitation programmes tailored to the needs of the community.
The initiative received strong support from regional leaders.
Paul Owhe, chairman of the Delta State Hospital Management Board, described it as “a significant step toward improving healthcare services in the state”
Olorogun Jaro Egbo, chairman, Ughelli North LGA and Lucky Avweromre, chairman, Ughelli South LGA both lauded the launch as something to celebrate.
On his part, Valentine Eziashi also commended the development, adding that with this centre, Amputees can now be rehabilitated effectively within their own region.
These new centres align with IfeanHealth’s broader vision of building a nationwide network of innovation-powered rehabilitation hubs, backed by international standards, trained clinicians, and a deep sense of empathy.
With established operations in Lagos, Enugu, Delta, and Kano, IfeanHealth continues to restore mobility, dignity, and hope one community at a time.
