Newly established College of Broadcasting promoted by Freelance and Independent Broadcasters’ Association of Nigeria (FIBAN) located in Abeokuta, Ogun State has appointed Ayoola Ajasa, a Ph.D. holder in Mass Communication from Babcock University as its maiden provost.
A statement signed and issued in Abeokuta on Tuesday by Fatai Akinbola, registrar of the college, indicated that the appointment takes effect from June 1, 2021, as the college provost is to join the management in order to start academic sessions immediately.
Ajasa, a professional member of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON) and the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), is a seasoned writer and a motivational speaker who has spent 25 years in the media and public relations.

He shares the vision of the Freelance and Independent Broadcasters’ Association of Nigeria (FIBAN) on the creation of the college to be a world-class institution of learning committed to providing educational and professional training in broadcasting.
The College of Broadcasting, Abeokuta (COBAB), an initiative of the Freelance and Independent Broadcasters’ Association of Nigeria (FIBAN) is an affiliate of Crescent University, Abeokuta. The college offers diploma and certificate programmes in broadcasting as well as workshops, seminars and special courses that cut across all broadcasting fields.
