On the reasons why the Nigerian firm is joining forces with the Chines Company, Olushakin said, “We partnered with Asia-Africa, because they are a global automotive leader, with plants all around the world and they are the number one truck manufacturing company in the whole of China, and they actually manufacture the Chinese military trucks.”

Incorporated as a limited liability company in October 2012 LAC Autos & Spares decided to extend its footprint to Lagos with the aim to address its business needs in the centre of excellence while also servicing the dealership with Asia-Africa.

“It has become apparent to us not just because of our dealership with Asia-Africa but there are also needs we intend to meet with our services, hence the need to have foot print in Lagos,” Rotimi Dejo, Chairman of LAC Trucks & Spares said.

Prior to opening an office in Lagos, LAC Autos & Spares only had its presence in the UK and at the truck villa in UI-Ojoo Express Way, Ojoo, Ibadan, Oyo State.

“So, for any one that deserves to buy these trucks or wants to partner with us, they can come to our office as we are open to provide them with services and after sales maintenance,” Dejo said.
