Nigeria’s amateur golfer, Tunji Adebayo, on Friday December 2 emerged the overall Gross winner at the BMW Golf National Championship held at the Lakowe Lakes Golf resort.
The championship was sponsored by Coscharis Motors Nigeria and aimed at rewarding golf playing customers and selecting the Gross winner to represent BMW Nigeria at the 2017 BMW World Golf International at the Emirates Golf Club, Dubai, UAE.
Adebayo pulled a gross of 79, beating Micheal Ikpoki and Boniface Obieze. He will be representing BMW Nigeria in Dubai at the Emirate Golf club from March 5-10, 2017.
Boniface Obieze with a net score of 70 won in the Men’s category 1 while Tony Tan clinched the Men’s category 2 with a net score of 73.
In the women’s category, Tshola Williams came out as the best pulling net score of 79.
Speaking at the ground-breaking event, Tunji Adebayo expressed his delight to represent Nigeria at the World level in Dubai next year.
“It is a magic feeling and I will not forget this winning for a long time.”

From 5th to 10th March 2017, over 1000 golfers from 50 countries, culminating in a 54 hole, will participate at the BMW Golf Cup International at the most beautiful golf resorts. The national winners and their guests will travel to the largest and most exciting city in the United Arab Emirates for the highlight of the BMW Golf Cup International on the planet at the Emirate Golf Club, Dubai.
