Sabi Writers has announced the opening of its Experience Centre in Abuja, marking a new phase in the company’s expansion beyond Lagos. The centre was officially opened on January 16, 2026, as part of the organisation’s effort to widen access to professional writing support across Nigeria.
The opening event brought together executives, public office holders, creatives, and participants from across the writing and media space. Guests toured the facility and engaged with the systems and processes designed to support authors, professionals, and organisations with varied writing needs.
According to attendees, the centre reflects a deliberate move to strengthen the place of writing within Nigeria’s creative economy. Discussions during the event focused on how structured writing support can improve communication, preserve ideas, and create work opportunities for young people seeking careers built around language and storytelling.
Speaking at the event, Chinonso Ogbogu described the company’s long-term aim as one centred on human connection and expression. He said the organisation seeks to reduce communication gaps and help people use words to share ideas, values, and experiences.
“Our vision has always been to make writing accessible, impactful, and transformative. With the Sabi Writers Experience Centre in Abuja, we are expanding opportunities for individuals and organisations to harness the power of words.”
The company explained that the centre is open to the public and serves as a shared space for learning, collaboration, and service delivery. Beyond daily operations, it is intended to host training sessions, writing programmes, and community activities linked to storytelling.
With the Abuja opening, Sabi Writers signals a wider national focus, placing writing at the centre of personal growth, organisational clarity, and cultural expression.
