Halima Dangote, the second of Aliko Dangote’s three daughters, has established herself as a prominent executive within the Dangote Group with responsibilities that span corporate governance, commercial strategy and global investment leadership.
Her executive journey has been notable for its diversity. Halima served as an executive director at NASCON Allied Industries, a group subsidiary, and later led the turnaround of Dangote Flour Mills, setting the stage for its sale to Singapore’s Olam Group.
These early successes showcased her ability to manage complex operations and restructure underperforming units.

She was appointed to the board of Dangote Cement in 2022, making her one of the key voices shaping the strategy of Nigeria’s third-largest listed company. Since 2019 she has also been a Group Executive Director at DIL, a position that places her at the heart of groupwide decision-making and operational oversight.
In 2023, Halima was entrusted with establishing and leading the Dangote Family Office in Dubai, where she now oversees the family’s global investments, wealth strategy and international operations, reflecting the group’s expanding footprint beyond Africa.
Her role positions her as a central figure in the group’s multi-regional ambitions.
Halima also serves as a trustee of the Aliko Dangote Foundation. She is known for her strategic judgment and international perspective.
