In under two years, Adenipekun Harmony Oluwanipinmi, Creative Director, has positioned Harmony Luxe Event as a reference point for movie premieres in Nigeria. With a growing track record across the film and events space, he is now planning to extend operations across Africa and into Europe.
Harmony Luxe Event began its rise in 2024, following a request from actor Bolaji Ogunmola to manage the premiere of her film Ajosepo. With no venue available and limited time, the team was asked to find an alternative solution. They accepted the task and converted a flooded parking lot into a functional event space in under 18 hours. The premiere went ahead as planned and drew wide attention within the film industry.
“After that premiere I knew the opportunities were endless,” Harmony said. The project marked a turning point for the company and opened the door to further work within Nollywood.
Since then, Harmony Luxe Event has handled several film premieres and related industry events. Its work is known for red-carpet coordination, set construction, food and drink service, and audience engagement. Industry figures say its events follow a clear format that makes them easy to identify.
One of its notable projects was the premiere of Gladiator at IMAX Lekki, where the venue floor was covered with sand to reflect the theme of the film. The premiere also remains a reference point for many within the sector, due to the conditions under which it was delivered.
Despite its position in Nigeria’s events space, Harmony says the company is focused on expansion beyond the country. “I look forward to expanding into Africa as a whole and into Europe,” he said. “We will be doing more destination weddings in Europe and more corporate events in Africa by collaborating with locals in these places and building pocket teams and franchises everywhere possible.”
He added that his long-term goal is to complete full event delivery, from planning to execution, in under 10 hours.
Industry observers note that Harmony Luxe Event has influenced how premieres are planned and delivered in Nigeria. Its approach combines speed, structure, and consistency, which has drawn attention from peers and competitors.
As Adenipekun Harmony Oluwanipinmi prepares to move into new markets, his plans reflect a wider shift within Nigeria’s creative economy. Event production, once focused on local demand, is now being positioned for cross-border work. With its expansion plans, Harmony Luxe Event aims to take its model beyond Nigeria and into wider regional and international markets.
