Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen scored his 50th goal for Galatasaray as the Turkish champions secured a 3–1 result over Fatih Karagümrük in a Süper Lig fixture on Saturday.
Galatasaray made a blistering start to the contest, opening the scoring in the first minute through Gabriel Sara.
Fatih Karagümrük responded positively and scored the equaliser in the 27th minute, briefly threatening to unsettle the hosts before Galatasaray regained control.

Osimhen’s landmark strike further underlined his growing influence at the Istanbul giants. The clash with Karagümrük was the Nigerian’s 59th appearance for Galatasaray, meaning he reached the 50-goal milestone in 10 fewer games than current club captain Mauro Icardi.
Icardi, who joined Galatasaray in 2022, required 69 appearances to score 50 goals. Former France international Bafétimbi Gomis ranks third, having reached the mark in 74 games after arriving from Swansea City in 2017.
Milan Baroš sits fourth on the all-time list, while the remainder of the club’s top eight goalscorers are largely homegrown talents.
Osimhen’s latest goal extended his impressive scoring run this season and reinforced his status as a key figure in Galatasaray’s attacking set-up.
The victory keeps Galatasaray comfortably at the top of the Süper Lig standings, four points clear of closest rivals Fenerbahçe, who still have a game in hand.
