He said the appointments reflect the government’s determination to strengthen engagement with global partners and regional institutions.
In his address, Tuggar charged the envoys to approach their assignments with a deep understanding of the rapidly evolving geopolitical environment.
He stressed the importance of strategic diplomacy, robust analytical skills, resilience, and professionalism in safeguarding Nigeria’s interests abroad and promoting the country’s foreign policy priorities.
“As the world changes, so must our engagement with it,” the minister said, urging the new diplomatic leaders to bring fresh energy to Nigeria’s missions.
He reminded them of their responsibility to articulate Nigeria’s position on global issues, protect citizens in the diaspora, and build partnerships that advance national development.
Responding on behalf of the appointees, Awe expressed appreciation to President Bola Tinubu and the Ministry for the trust placed in them.
He pledged that the group would uphold the highest standards of service, loyalty, and dedication in the discharge of their duties.
The ceremony ended with official photographs and the Minister’s call for the envoys to maintain active communication with headquarters.
Tuggar encouraged them to consistently share reports of their mission activities for institutional records and public information.
