The U.S. Soccer Federation has reported a record $263.7 million in revenue for the 2025 financial year, a 37 per cent increase from 2024 and the highest in eight years, according to its latest annual financial report.
The surge in income comes as the United States gears up to co-host the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with the majority of the tournament’s 104 matches set to take place across American cities.
While revenue climbed sharply, net profit dipped slightly from $9.1 million to $8.3 million year-on-year. The federation’s fiscal year runs from April 1 to March 31.

Commercially, U.S. Soccer’s sponsorship revenue rose 19 per cent to $121.1 million, buoyed by partnerships with major brands such as Bank of America, Henkel, The Home Depot, and Jim Beam.
The federation also reported a significant jump in fundraising, 594 per cent year-on-year, and total assets of $459 million, more than double the $192 million recorded in 2024.
The governing body is currently developing a new national training centre in Fayetteville, Georgia, financed through a $200 million debt issue.
The largest expenditure during the year was $107.1 million on national team support, followed by $37.6 million on sponsorship and fan engagement, $31.7 million on staff and administration, and $23.1 million in legal fees.
The 2025 revenue figure trails only the $290.1 million earned in 2017, a year boosted by the United States hosting the Copa América Centenario.
With new sponsorships from Kellanova, American Airlines, and Chobani set to take effect in 2026, the federation’s financial outlook remains strong ahead of the World Cup.
However, analysts warn that the true test of U.S. Soccer’s growth won’t be measured in revenue alone but in ensuring that the sport remains accessible to everyday fans, particularly as soaring ticket prices for the 2026 World Cup threaten to price out grassroots supporters.
“The real challenge is not just earning more,” one insider said. “It’s making sure the money filters down so that the ‘beautiful game’ stays open to everyone.”
