Business consulting firm IBG Nigeria and Infoplus Business information services is calling on technology stakeholders to explore the newest technologies and business opportunities available in South Korea which is now a world class, high technology OECD economy.
According to Ndudi Osakwe, Principal Consultant at IBG Nigeria, South Korean companies are expecting to expand their foothold in the Nigerian market by hosting a few Nigerian ICT business stakeholders from 23 to 28 May, 2016 in the city of Seoul and are calling on Nigerian businesses with local intelligence and international service standards to partner with in order to promote business between Nigeria and South Korea.
“Although South Korea is a less developed country, ICT has been a major pillar of its economy and has helped to elevate the country as one of the leading countries in today’s global economy since the 1990s. Nigerian companies and the country as a whole can tap into business opportunities in this country and learn from their development through ICT. They need businesses like yours, with local intelligence and international service standards as partners,” he said.
“During this period, stakeholders in the private and public sectors would participate in a 5 days event for business meetings, company visits and factory tours. Areas of interest include broadcasting, entertainment, educational, biometrics, internet, mobile telephony, broadband speed, social media, multimedia, wireless networks, smart city and e-government amongst others,” he added.
South Korea is regarded as a leader in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), pioneering various advanced technologies over the years.
According to the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), South Korea had repeatedly led other countries in ICT development initiative, topping the list of counties worldwide ranked on the level of ICT access, use and skills.
Benefits of being part of this move in such a country include, having access to new business deal, meeting potential business partners, business network expansion, getting new contacts in the local industry and getting to know the local market as well as understanding government policies, business environment and industry trends.
