Sale Mamman, the Minister of Power has charged power companies to begin producing transformers locally so as to create jobs and enable skill transfer.
Mamman made this known while commissioning the Skipper power generation and distribution assets in Lagos today, pledging government support for such companies.
“We encourage you to continue with investments in Nigeria. No economy can progress without power. Do more than the 750 transforms you have currently. Maintain standards and use Nigerian cable and one day we can patronize you,” said Mamman.
