Voting commenced at exactly 4.00p.m in Byazin-Kubwa polling unit 001A in Abuja after the manual accreditation had been successfully completed.
In neighbouring polling units 001 and 006 in Byazin-Kubwa, voting had earlier commenced by 2.00p.m as voters conducted themselves accordingly after slight hitches in the accreditation process.
Officers and men of the Nigerian army have been on constant patrol to maintain peace within Kubwa, a satellite town in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Other security outfits such as the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps and the Nigerian police are on ground to conduct voters accordingly.
