Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has smashed the Turkish Super Lig’s all-time transfer record after completing a sensational €75 million permanent move to reigning champions Galatasaray from Napoli.
The 26-year-old forward, who spent the 2024/25 season on loan at Galatasaray, has signed a four-year deal with the Istanbul giants, making him one of the highest-paid players in Turkish football history.

Osimhen’s Lucrative Package
Osimhen will earn a reported €21 million per season, comprising a €15 million net salary, a €1 million loyalty bonus, and €5 million in image rights.
Galatasaray confirmed that the €75 million transfer fee will be paid in two instalments: €40 million upfront and €35 million by the end of the 2025/26 season. Napoli will also receive 10% of any future profit from a subsequent sale.

“An agreement has been reached with SSC Napoli for the transfer of Victor James Osimhen. The total fee is €75 million, and 10% of any future profit from a subsequent transfer will go to Napoli,” Galatasaray said in an official statement.
Osimhen’s loan spell in Turkey was nothing short of explosive. He netted 26 goals and provided 5 assists in 30 Super Lig appearances, helping Galatasaray clinch the league title by an 11-point margin over Fenerbahçe. He also scored 6 times and added 1 assist in the Europa League.
The Nigerian international was greeted like a hero upon his return, flying into Istanbul on a private jet and welcomed by thousands of ecstatic fans who tracked his arrival live via the club’s official YouTube channel.
“It feels great to be back. This is home for me, my family, and my friends,” Osimhen said. “I want to thank everyone who made this happen.”

Record-Breaking Transfer for Turkish Football
Osimhen’s €75 million fee eclipses the previous Super Lig transfer record set just last summer, when Youssef En-Nesyri joined Fenerbahçe for €19.5 million.
Galatasaray’s blockbuster signing is nearly four times that figure and signals a new era of ambition for Turkish football.
