President Bola Tinubu, on Tuesday, met with stakeholders from Katsina, Jigawa and Niger States over the rampaging insecurity ravaging the region among others.
The meeting cane on the backdrop of recent increase in wanton killing of innocent citizens.
Recall that Scores were killed and dozens kidnapped after bandits attacked a mosque in the Nigerian town of Unguwar Mantau and set homes ablaze in nearby village.
The president also hosted members of the Buhari organisation led by Tanko Almakura, former Nasarawa State governor.
Almakura, speaking on behalf of the Buhari group, expressed gratitude to President Tinubu, the Government and people of Nigeria, for the kind gesture in honouring the late President Muhammadu Buhari.
“Apart from your presence throughout the ceremony, it was comforting as it was reassuring. You did not only pray for him but wish him Aljanat-Firdaus”, Almakura noted.
He described president’s gesture as a “powerful statement of dignity, loyalty, and legacy. “For that Mr President, we thank you from the dept of our heart, just like his biological family visited you shortly after his burial”, he added.
He described the Renewed Hope Agenda as a pragmatic and Scientific document that ” should serve as a blue print for national restoration.”
He assured that president that the group is “focused on commitment to ensuring the success of our party, our ultimate victory come 2027.
“To this end Mr President, we assure you of our full and unwavering support for you and the administration and our party the APC which remains our hope and platform, our pride and our course to sustain our gains and the future.
“To sustain policies and reforms, there are already in place that guarantee an opportunity… Your Excellency, we are with you in principle and in purpose. May Almighty God continue to grant you the strength, wisdom and protection to lead this nation to the promised land”, he concluded.
