President Bola Tinubu appeared to distance himself from his own party’s Anambra State chapter today while concluding his official visit to the state capital, Awka.
During his closing remarks, the President instead focused on praising Governor Charles Soludo, who belongs to a rival political party, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
President Tinubu warmly commended Governor Soludo for “laying a very solid foundation for a focused, steady growth of Anambra State” after opening several projects completed by Soludo’s administration.

The President highlighted Soludo’s past achievements in banking reform, saying: “He’s a performer who saw the nation through bank consolidation successfully.”
“And the nation was better for it. He’s a progressive, and we are working together from the centre. So we are comfortable with him. With him, Anambra is on the rise,” President Tinubu added.
