Six Super Eagles players have collectively donated N24 million to the Super Falcons in appreciation of their historic victory at the 13th edition of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
The players behind the generous gesture are team captain William Troost-Ekong, Ademola Lookman (reigning African Player of the Year), Olaoluwa Aina, Alex Iwobi, Leon Balogun, and Joseph Ayodele-Aribo.

The donation was confirmed in a statement by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Monday. NFF President Ibrahim Gusau praised the Super Eagles stars for their solidarity, calling the gift “an inspiration to Nigeria’s girl-child and a commendable show of unity across our national teams.”
The Super Falcons produced a memorable comeback in the final, rallying from two goals down to defeat hosts Morocco on Saturday night.
The victory marked Nigeria’s 10th WAFCON title, further cementing the team’s dominance in African women’s football.
The Super Falcons were also honoured by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Nigeria Governors’ Forum for their outstanding achievement.
