City Boy’s Grand Patron, Seyi Tinubu, has begun distribution of Fasting Relief Packages across the 36 states of Nigeria during Ramadan and Lent. The programme aims to support citizens during periods of prayer, reflection and devotion.
Under the City Boy initiative, the effort promotes unity and responsibility among communities. Speaking on the rollout, a representative, Oluwatosin Shoga, said it is “ A demonstration of unity in action and leadership rooted in service.”
“The seasons of Ramadan and Lent remind us of the values that bind us as a nation: sacrifice, generosity and compassion. Through this nationwide outreach, we are reinforcing our belief that progress is strongest when communities stand together in mutual support,” the spokesperson noted.
Distribution takes place through state chapters, reaching cities and villages. The outreach seeks engagement, development and growth for youth and communities. City Boy says it will advance hope and opportunity for every citizen through action, civic engagement and initiatives across Nigeria.
Observers say the programme responds to need during periods of fasting and calls for cooperation across regions and faiths. Many volunteers join distribution at centres, mosques and churches. Beneficiaries receive packages that include food items and supplies to help them keep their fast.
Organisers state that the effort will continue through the season and report progress from each state. More distributions are planned before the end of the period across the federation coverage.
