Fine & Country and BusinessDay are in collaboration to showcase premium real estate in Nigeria and also connect investors with developers in their upcoming Refined Investor Series (London Diaspora and international edition). In this interview, Udo Okonjo, Fine & Country’s CEO, speaks on the event and other matters. Excerpts:
Why the Refined Investor Series (RIS) event; what is the inspiration behind it?
The RIS hosted by Fine and Country is a premium real estate forum for astute and aspiring investors to receive accurate and current market insight on the real estate industry in Nigeria. The event seeks to connect real estate investors, aspiring property owners with safe, prequalified opportunities from the leading and most reputable Nigerian property developers and related industry services such as financial and mortgage institutions as well as wealth and asset managers. The inspiration behind taking the RIS event to the UK this year is to correct the myths and misconceptions potential investors may have about Nigerian real estate market and also to bridge the gap between investors and developers.
Who are the stakeholders and how do they strengthen the quality of the event?
We have partnered with premium property developers with high quality pre-qualified residential and commercial projects. We also have industry experts, construction companies and financial/mortgage institutions partnering with us on various levels, as well as research experts such as the Oxford Business Group and BusinessDay Research and Fine and Country Advisory Team on hand. Together, we will be providing well-rounded, quality information sessions for participants.
What are Nigerians in Diaspora going to benefit from the RIS event?
This is one-of-a-kind event connecting Nigerians in Diaspora directly to pre-qualified real estate investment opportunities. They will have a unique opportunity to engage directly with the owners and decision makers of leading real estate from across Nigeria. Developers including Eko Atlantic, Crown Estate, Urban Shelter, Landmark, Greystone Office Towers, and numerous residential and office projects will be on showcase.
How do Nigerians in Diaspora participate in the RIS event?
To kick off the 2-day Series, an exclusive independence celebration dinner themed ‘Industry Leadership, Entrepreneurship Attitudes & Development’ (I.L.E.A.D) will be hosted on Friday, October 6 evening at the prestigious and historic Landmark Hotel, London. We will be celebrating Nigeria’s 57th independence, visionary leadership in projects and financial products shaping the Nigerian real estate sector while encouraging networking with private wealth clients and leaders in the Diaspora.
The full day Investor Series and exhibition will hold on Saturday, October 7 in the same location. The Exhibition and Seminar will feature event booths from all our partners and stakeholders providing direct engagement and showcasing their work.
