The Premier Secondary School Alumni Association, Nsukka Branch, has congratulated one of its pioneer members, Linus Ugwu, on his recent elevation to the rank of Assistant Commandant-General (ACG) of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
In a statement jointly signed by the Branch Chairman, Chris Uchenna Agbedo, a professor, and the Secretary, Eddy Itanyi, associate prof., the association described Ugwu’s promotion as a well-deserved honour, reflecting his hard work, discipline, and patriotism.
The statement noted that Ugwu, who has distinguished himself as a seasoned professional and committed public servant, remains a “quintessential product” of Premier Secondary School, Ukehe, and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN).
According to the Alumni body, his elevation to one of the highest ranks in the NSCDC “stands as a shining testimony that the seeds of excellence sown at Premier Secondary School continue to yield fruits of distinction in diverse spheres of life.”
The association further acknowledged Ugwu’s role as a pioneer and dedicated member of the Nsukka Branch, commending his loyalty to both alma mater and community.
“We pray for him and wish him God’s amazing grace, wisdom, and leadership acumen to discharge his duties meritoriously for the common good of humanity and to the glory of God,” the alumni stated.
Ugwu’s promotion has since sparked excitement among colleagues, friends, and well-wishers, who say his rise is an inspiration to young Nigerians striving for excellence in service to the Nigerian state.
