The Holy See Press Office on Friday disclosed that Pope Francis’ health condition continues to improve just as the Holy Father expressed his closeness to the people of Myanmar and Thailand, following a 7.7-magnitude earthquake that hit the Southeast Asian countries on Friday.
Matteo Bruni, the director of the Holy See Press Office, also disclosed that the Pope’s health is stable, with slight improvements in respiratory and motor functions, as well as speech.
The Holy See Press Office provided an update on Pope Francis’ recovery from bilateral pneumonia on Friday morning.

According to Press Office, the Pope continues to gradually reduce the amount of high-flow oxygen he receives through nasal cannulas during the day, accompanied by a slight reduction at night.
The latest update provided insight into the Pope’s hematological parameters, which remain normal following the blood tests carried out on Wednesday.
Pope Francis continues to alternate between therapy, prayer, rest, and some work activity, with all Dicasteries of the Roman Curia sending documents to update him on their activity.
According to the Holy See, the Pope concelebrated Mass every day in the chapel of the Casa Santa Marta.
Bruni disclosed that the Pope has not had any particular visits to report.
According to him, Pope Francis was informed of the earthquake in Myanmar, disclosing that the Pope prayed for the victims.

According to the Vatican, the Pope expressed his sorrow at the loss of life and widespread devastation in a telegram sent on Friday. He offered heartfelt prayers for the souls of the deceased and assured his spiritual closeness to all affected by the tragedy.
The Vatican also disclosed that his thoughts also went to all emergency personnel, whom, he prayed, “may be sustained in their care of the injured and displaced by the divine gifts of fortitude and perseverance.”
According to the update, Pope Francis followed the second Lenten Sermon delivered by Fr. Roberto Pasolini, on Friday morning via video link broadcast by Vatican Media.
