In supporting the revival of the Nigerian Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) following the adverse effect of the coronavirus pandemic on commercial and economic activities, Pop Central, a fast-growing media platform in Nigeria has launched the SME Advert Grant worth N388 million, which will allow small businesses the opportunity of free exposure on live television via its station, Pop Central TV, DStv channel 189. partnering with FAYA, an Ad-tech company that simplifies and unifies the trade media advert inventory, Pop Central believes the grant will enable the beneficiaries to create the needed visibility in Nigeria and across Africa to promote their products and services as they navigate through the current pandemic.

Yinka Obebe, Chief Executive Officer, Pop Central explained that MSMEs are crucial for local and economic development however the significant contribution of SMEs to the Nigeria economy had been affected harshly by the pandemic and given this Pop Central introduced the advert grant stimulus to support SMEs in the country on the path to recovery.
Obebe also said that televised advertising as a premium complementary marketing platform is effective for SMEs who need to promote and aim to market a product or service. He added that SMEs who will take advantage of the SME Ad Grant will be able to target and capture their audience, reach and build trustworthiness with a wide audience and cushion the difficulty that most SMEs are experiencing this year
