The party had called for the cancellation of the election in the state, alleging manipulation of the process.

The members are Thelma Iremiren, head and supervisory national commissioner for Rivers State, M.K. Hammanga and Lai Olorode. In a statement from INEC and signed by Augusta Ogakwu, secretary to the commission, she noted that the committee has left for the state to verify the claims and allegations of the party so as to advise the commission and the chief electoral commissioner.
“They have departed for Rivers State and it is expected that they will submit their report before the end of the collation of the results of the other states and the FCT”.
