Oyo State Government is partnering the German government to enhance the socio-economic development of the state.
Specifically, the partnership would be in the areas of agriculture, small and medium scale industries, energy, water and social services.
Speaking when he received the Consulate-General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Lagos, Michael Derus who paid him a courtesy call in his office in Ibadan,
Governor Abiola Ajimobi said a committee comprising officials of the state government and those of Germany would be put in place to work out the areas of interest between the state and Germany.
According to him, Germany is a country that people with efficiency and commitment would always be interested in dealing with, “so we are very much ready to work with you to assist us in our efforts at developing Oyo State.”
In his remarks, the Consulate-General, Micheal Derus said that Germany would partner with the state in the area of energy and agriculture where the people of state were expected to benefit more.
