The Onome Omobolaji Obada Foundation (OOOF) will hold a week-long free medical outreach in Lagos from Sunday, 20th July to Saturday, 26th July 2025. The event will take place at Soteria Hospital, Plot 28 Clam Avenue, Omole Phase 1, Lagos, between 9 am and 5 pm daily.
This initiative forms part of the Foundation’s wider efforts to expand access to healthcare for underserved Nigerians. The Foundation has previously held similar outreaches in Delta State in 2019 and 2024, and in Lagos in August 2024.
This year’s Lagos outreach will provide free medical services including general consultations, dental care, surgeries, obstetrics and gynaecology, ophthalmology, medications, laboratory services, and health education.
According to Votu Obada, Chairman of the Foundation, the 2025 edition will focus on scale and impact. “This year, we’re scaling in both depth and reach,” he said. “Our Lagos outreach will include expanded specialist care, increased surgical capacity, and a more structured triage process to shorten wait times.”
Obada added that follow-up care and community education have been included to support long-term recovery. “We are returning to Lagos with greater capacity, stronger partnerships, and an even deeper commitment to reaching those who are often forgotten. At OOOF, we believe that quality healthcare should never be a privilege.”
The Foundation is deploying a multi-team approach involving medical professionals, volunteers, and logistics personnel, all trained before the event. A central hub will manage real-time operations to maintain efficiency and quality across services.
“We are deploying a coordinated multi-team model: medical professionals, logistics teams, and volunteers working in sync, guided by clear protocols,” Obada said.
OOOF describes the Lagos outreach as part of a long-term goal to create a scalable model for healthcare across Nigeria. “From Delta to Warri and now back to Lagos, we are deepening our commitment to ensure no one is left behind due to geography or financial barriers,” a spokesperson said.
The outreach is open to all Lagos residents. It also serves as a tribute to Onome Omobolaji Obada, whose legacy continues to guide the Foundation.“This isn’t just another medical outreach. For me, it’s a mission of the heart. We are returning to Lagos with greater capacity, stronger partnerships, and an even deeper commitment to reaching those who are often forgotten. At OOOF, we believe that quality healthcare should never be a privilege. Our goal is to show up with excellence, empathy, and impact, and to make every single life we touch feel seen, cared for, and valued.” Obada said.
