Consumers and other attendees of Legend’s Real Deal Experience in the commercial city of Onitsha have lauded Nigerian Breweries for an excellent event. The show, which recently held at Shoprite, Park Road, GRA Onitsha, Anambra State, treated the residents of Onitsha and its environs to a one-of-a-kind experience.
Speaking at the end of the action-packed fun event, party-goers confessed to being well entertained.
“I have been really thrilled this evening. It has been an evening of fun and merriment. It is like going on a date on someone else’s pocket. I am grateful to the organizers for the music and dance. Seeing the Obiligbo brothers live on stage made my night,” said Emeka Nwora, a businessman.
Ifediora Azubuike, a veteran music lover, recalled his younger days when highlife maestros used to perform in Onitsha on weekends.
“This event transported me to the good old days when the big names in highlife music used to do regular weekend shows in this same city. Those days we used to look forward to the likes of Osita Osadebe, Ali Chukwuma, Oliver De Coque, and many others every weekend. I commend Legend Extra Stout for this nostalgic event which memory would last a long time,” he said.
Legend’s Real Deal Experience which berthed in Onitsha on Sunday, 29 April, 2018 saw music enthusiasts thrilled by the reigning kings of highlife music in the region, the Obiligbo Brothers – Ifeanyi Okpuozor Obiligbo & Chukwuebuka Akunwafor Obiligbo – sons of Obiligbo the Great of Anambra, who rendered many melodious tunes and threw such scintillating dance steps to the cheering crowd.
The duo, who have had major successes over the years having churned out four massively accepted and successful studio albums, including “Ife Di Mma” and “Udo-Ga-Di”, won the hearts of the merrymakers and all who attended the show in Onitsha.
Every activity was engaging, from the role-plays to the DJ, to amazing performances, it was truly a night packed with excitement.
Former BBNaija housemate Ifu Ennada who also co-hosted the show rocked the stage as usual, and did a good job keeping the crowd alive and well entertained.
Lucky members in the audience got to go home with exciting gifts like refrigerators, generators, televisions, fez caps, T-shirts, and free drinks from the ‘Taste, Tell and Win’ competition.
In its usual tradition of celebrating legends, Legend Extra Stout celebrated Godwin Ubaka Okeke, chairman/CEO of G. U. Okeke and Sons Ltd, a courageous man who worked tirelessly from a humble beginning to become a legend.
Speaking on this recognition, Okeke said, “Honesty is the key to a successful business. If you are not honest to yourself, you can’t be honest to your business partners. Onitsha business community, I salute the legend in you.”
In recognizing his legendary feats, the Legend Extra Stout’s torch of greatness was presented to him.
Speaking about the show, Emmanuel Agu, portfolio manager, Mainstream Lager & Stout Brands, NB Plc, said it was for such fun nights that the Legend Real Deal Experience was created.
