The University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED), Ondo, has partnered with the Canadian Education Council (CEC) to launch the International Career Centre (ICC), a dedicated platform to equip students and alumni with global skills, hands-on experience, and workforce readiness.
Isaac Oluyi, the Public Relations Officer of the University, in a statement made available to journalists on Thursday in Akure, said, “formalised on 19th January 2026, the ICC bridges academic learning with professional opportunities worldwide. Students can access mentorship programs, skill-building workshops, career coaching, and local & international internships. The Centre also prepares participants for the CEC International Employment License, a globally recognised credential for professional readiness.
“The initiative includes staff development, equipping UNIMED career personnel with modern tools, strategies, and global best practices. CEC provides technical expertise, digital infrastructure, and benchmarking, while UNIMED ensures operational support and student engagement.
“This partnership strengthens UNIMED’s institutional standing, enhances graduate employability, and modernises career support for local and global competitiveness.”
