The Association of Nigerian Physicians in the Americas (ANPA), the largest Black diaspora professional organisation representing over 8,000 Nigerian physicians and dentists in the Americas, has announced that Lagos, Nigeria, will host ANPA Week 2025 from April 4 to April 9, 2025.
The event themed “Transforming Healthcare: Empowering Physicians, Strengthening Systems,” aims to facilitate healthcare transformation through knowledge transfer, capacity building, and policy advocacy.
ANPA Week 2025 will convene Nigerian and diaspora healthcare professionals, policymakers, and advocates to discuss ways to improve healthcare delivery in Nigeria and across Africa. It will provide a collaborative platform to enhance professional development, strengthen healthcare systems, and empower future medical leaders.

In a statement by Cliff Eke President, ANPA he stated that the goals of the ANPA Week 2025 include improving healthcare delivery across Nigeria, strengthening capacity and professional development, advocating for health systems strengthening and policy reforms, enhancing collaborative partnerships for sustainable healthcare and empowering the next generation of healthcare leaders.
According to Eke, in recognizing the importance of nurturing young medical talent, the ANPA Week will feature programs designed to inspire and mentor the next generation of Nigerian healthcare leaders.
He said that with dedicated sessions for medical students, residents, and early-career physicians, ANPA aims to cultivate a new wave of healthcare professionals equipped to address the challenges of modern healthcare.

“ANPA Week 2025 presents an exciting opportunity for Nigerian physicians, healthcare professionals, and policymakers to unite and focus on tangible actions that will improve healthcare delivery in Nigeria.
“Through a series of panel discussions, practical workshops, and networking events, ANPA Week 2025 will serve as a powerful platform to create actionable solutions for strengthening healthcare delivery, building capacity, and advocating for reform in Nigeria’s healthcare sector,” he added.
