The Paralympians representing Nigeria at the Rio Paralympics Games in Rio Brazil are out to give the country a lot to smile about in the competition with their performance so far.
They have put up an impressive show at the 2016 Rio Paralympics Games so far.
Rolland Ezuruike set a new Paralympic record of 190kg to win gold in the men’s 54kg weight lifting.
Ezuruike set two Paralympic records on his path to gold with his first lift of 185kg and a winning lift of 190kg.
Latifat Tijani had also won Nigeria her first silver in the women’s 45kg weightlifting. She was beat to second place by China’sDandanHu.
Paul Kehinde won Nigeria a second gold medal breaking the men’s 65kg world record in the process.
Lucy Ejike struck s third gold for the country in the women’s 61kg power lifting event.
She set a new Paralympic record with a first lift of 136kg and broke a World record with her second lift of 138kg before her winning lift of 142kg.
Nigeria currently ranks 16th on the overall medals table at the Paralympics Games with three gold medals and two silver medals.
We are definitely looking forward to more winds from the delegation at the Paralympics.
