With the policies and programmes introduced by President Bola Tinubu’s administration, it’s a matter of time for Nigeria to rise again economically and spiritually to mockers’ shame, said a Kogi-based clergyman.
Rotomi Nathaniel, RCCG City of Grace, Region 24, Kogi State, made the remarks during the thanksgiving service of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kogi Chapter, held at the City of Grace Regional Headquarters in Lokoja, on Sunday, as part of the celebration of its Press Week. The pastor added that Nigeria will soon come out of its economic woes by the grace of God.
In his sermon entitled “Arise to the Next Level”, the pastor said, “With the policies and programmes being introduced by President Bola Tinubu’s Administration, it’s a matter of time for Nigerians to smile”.
Quoting from 1 Sam. 1:18-19, he said God has not forgotten Nigeria but will arise to deliver her from all the prevailing security and economic challenges.
He said God so love Nigeria, which explains why, in all her security, political and socio-economic challenges, the country is still standing and waxing strong.
He said, “Some people are into satanic life: kidnapping, banditry, ritualism and cultism, thereby bringing curses and ill will upon the nation.
“In spite of all these, who can battle with the Lord God of Nigeria? Because he is mindful of the good of the people of Nigeria, he will deliver us from all sorrows and pains, poverty and lack.
“By God’s mercy, Nigeria shall be delivered and made stronger to the shame of her mockers and enemies.
“The spirit of Jesus is the spirit of giving. So we should endeavour to give to one another to help overcome the economic hardship in the country”, he noted.
The cleric urged Nigerians to be good to one another to help take away the pains and sorrows in some homes and bring about joy and smiles, as he called on the wealthy individuals and corporate organisations to consider giving to the indigents in the country.
“We believe things will turn around for the nation with the policies and programmes of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
“All it takes is our prayers and display of brotherly love in giving and prayers for one another, and our economy shall turn around for the better,” he added.
Nathaniel congratulated the Journalists in celebration of their Press Week, prayed God to continue to watch over them in doing their work as the Fourth Estate of the Realm.
Seidu Ademu, Kogi State NUJ Council Chairman, thanked the leadership of the Church for the privilege given to them to have their thanksgiving service
