Patrick Anyanwu, president, Nigeria Hotel Association (NHA), on Thursday, warned unregistered hotel owners across the country to register with the association to ensure protection and stable business.
Anyanwu gave the charge at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Secretariat, Bauchi Council, insisting that the association will only protect owners who are registered with them.

He said that hotels that are not registered with the national body will face the consequences of such actions alone.
“We will protect your hotel and your interest in case anything happens to you as a registered member of the Nigeria Hotel Association,” he said.
He urged members to uphold the spirit of fairness, transparency and shared responsibility, to also embrace the gospel of unity and look beyond personal interests and focus on the collective good of the association.

“We are also here to deliberate on the report of the reconciliation committee set during our review by the National Executive Council. This report is important in creating an opportunity for understanding and our hope of being united as one powerful body,” he said.
The association also discussed the issue surrounding the association’s registration, inauguration and payment of annual dues in different states.
