In a move to raise political awareness and empower youth participation in governance, Africana League has unveiled Nigeria House of Commons, a reality TV show set to premiere on YouTube on July 30, 2025.
The show will feature young Nigerians acting as legislators, representing the country’s 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), and aims to educate viewers on politics through interactive participation.
Africana League, an organisation focused on building a new generation of capable young leaders, is behind this innovative project. Nigeria House of Commons will run for 13 episodes, with contestants split into two fictional political parties.

They will engage in activities like drafting motions, debating policies, and holding live voting sessions, mirroring real parliamentary processes.
Viewers can join in through real-time voting, polling, and commentary on the show’s platform at https://www.africanaleague.org/. This interactive element is designed to make politics more accessible and engaging for young people.

With the 2027 general elections approaching, the show’s timing highlights its goal of inspiring youth to shape Nigeria’s future. It seeks to bridge the gap between young people and the political system, offering both education and a platform for advocacy.
