Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) says it has identified what it termed “13 national strategic export products” (NSEP) across the country to replace crude oil.
This is in line with the policy thrust of the Federal Government, to diversify the country’s economy, which is currently dependent on crude oil.
Olusegun Awolowo, executive director/chief executive officer, NEPC, who revealed this in Aba, the commercial hub of Abia State, at the workshop on “Legal Aspects of Export Contract” organized by the Abuja Headquarters of the Council, explained that the 13 products are grouped under three major sectors, namely agro industrial, mining related and oil and gas industrial products.
