The aspirant for the national president of the Zaar Development Association (ZDA) worldwide, Ambassador Dawomdah Joseph Mandes, has said that his aspiration was not do-or-die affair but willing to make sacrifices and contribute to the development of the land.
This was contained in a press statement signed and made available to newsmen in Bauchi State.
He said to focus his leadership on six points agenda which include Completion of National secretariat, working closely with his royal Highness Gung Zaar of Zaar Chiefdom retired Brigadier General Marcus Koko Yake, district heads and all traditional leaders across the land, promoting peace, unity and togetherness.
Others are women and youth empowerment, hosting of annual Zaar peace and unity Christmas Carol celebration and establishment of Zaar entertainment industry.
Mandes, who is the former financial secretary of the association and also the founder of Dawompes Foundation said that if given the chance to become national president of the Zaar Development Association, he will work hand in hand with all the branch chairmen and their members for the development of the land.
“I am compelled to express my gratitude for the overwhelming support I have received since October 2025, when my pictures began circulating on social media, accompanied by numerous messages and calls from various groups, individuals, and well-wishers of Dawompes Foundation urging me to contest for the office of ZDA National President.”
He further said that “As a former National Financial Secretary of the association, I understand the sacrificial nature of ZDA leadership and have engaged in consultations with some Branches Chairmen to gauge their opinions and feedback on my potential candidacy. And by the grace and mercy of God, I have finalised my decision to contest for the office based on my six-point agenda.
Mandes expressed his appreciation to Zaar sons and daughters who have trusted and supported him, “I harbor no ill will and acknowledge that leadership is divinely appointed by God.”
He said that “As the former National Financial Secretary who served for four years and worked tirelessly to support the administration of ZDA National President Isuwa Galla whose leadership achievement is now part of Zaar history forever. I am confident in my ability to build on that success.”
Mandes said that he will not take side in his leadership that will bring division in the land but to carry everyone along.
