…Impacting 32.1m lives across Nigeria
The MTN Foundation, the corporate social responsibility arm of MTN Nigeria, has surpassed N32 billion in total investments since its establishment in 2004, reaching more than 32.1 million people through initiatives spanning health, education, youth skills development, and community empowerment across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
The figure, highlighted in the foundation’s 2025 impact snapshot released on Tuesday, reflects cumulative spending of N32.3 billion across 3,604 communities in 590 local government areas.
This milestone underscores two decades of sustained efforts, marked by the foundation’s formal commissioning in 2005, to drive measurable socio-economic change in Africa’s most populous nation.
In 2025 specifically, key highlights included donations of N139 million in medications supporting 49 primary healthcare centers nationwide, facilitating 448,278 attendances and 12,426 safe deliveries.
The foundation also disbursed N208 million in equipment loans to 71 female entrepreneurs under its Y’ellopreneurs program.

Education and skills remained central, with 81 music scholarships awarded (each worth over N900,000), 1,026 scholarships for blind undergraduates, and digital skills training for 62,284 young Nigerians in partnership with the American Towers Corporation Foundation.
Over 129,858 registrations were recorded on the MTN Skills Academy platform, with 20,959 course completions.
Broader outreach efforts featured the participation of 21,128 students in anti-substance abuse programs across 53 public secondary schools, internet data support for 500 farmers to access real-time weather and market information, and learning materials delivered to 2,636 students in seven schools.
During the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence, more than 17 million people were reached.
The Y’elloCare initiative saw over N153 million donated, combined with 4,700 volunteer hours and 1,216 staff hours, directly benefiting 6,511 individuals. The foundation received eight awards recognizing its contributions.
These 2025 achievements build on the foundation’s long-term focus on national priorities, including digital inclusion, gender equity, health access, and youth opportunity, aligning with Nigeria’s development goals amid ongoing economic and social challenges.
