Odion Aleobua, CEO of Creato Urban has offered reasons his firm, a fast growing Public Relations-led integrated marketing communication agency rebranded from Modion Communications.
He said the new identity reflects the growing nature of the business beyond the boundaries of the “Modion Communications” identity.
He told BusinesDay that over the last decade, the firm’s work evolved from PR-led communications to a broader operating model that blends strategy, storytelling, digital intelligence, reputation leadership, and cultural influence—serving both African- and globally-minded brands.
“The new identity is a deliberate signal of that evolution and our intent to compete more assertively on a global stage, with clearer positioning around what we now do and how we create value.
According to him, “Creato speaks to what we fundamentally build: ideas that move people and markets—creation as a discipline, not a buzzword. ‘Urban’ reflects the reality of modern influence: it is shaped in cities, in culture, in fast-moving ecosystems where brands must earn relevance daily. Together, Creato Urban communicates a business built for contemporary markets, where insight, culture, and execution meet, and where African creativity can stand confidently in global conversations”.
On how the new name reflect the firm’s vision and long-term strategy, Odion explained that the long-term strategy is to build a strategic communications and creative intelligence company with global resonance, one that consistently delivers measurable influence, not just media outputs. “The rebrand sharpens that ambition: it better reflects our expanded capabilities, the calibre of work we want to be known for, and the markets we’re positioning to serve. It is a platform for the next decade, more scalable, more exportable, and more aligned with the future of communications”.
